Dumbbells

Dumbbells are bought as a range, not as a product. A commercial floor needs the whole sequence, in matching finish, with enough of the light and middle weights that a class or a busy evening does not strip the rack.

Rubber hex is the workhorse: it does not roll, it survives being dropped, and it is the most forgiving of a floor that gets used hard. Urethane costs more and holds its appearance far longer, which is why it tends to go into premium clubs and anywhere the dumbbell rack is visible from reception. Studio sets suit class formats where the weights are light, handled constantly and stored in a small space.
